The Japan SIG's mission is:
  • To ensure and promote interoperability of distributed objects in the Japanese environment in cooperation with the related groups in OMG.
  • To contribute to internationalization efforts of the OMG business model and solutions, by providing a wide range of study on Japanese localization issues, in conjunction with internationalization framework/guidelines, towards much more effective and practical harmonization of OMG internationalization and localization.
The objectives of the Japan SIG are:
  • To study real issues specific to the Japanese environment, in particular, to the Japanese users, that require common solutions based on, and harmonized with, the OMG standards.
  • To provide information and comments useful for standardization activities of the PTC, DTC, and AB, particularly, in terms of internationalization/localization and the Japanese market.
